Get what you want, not what you requested!

Ever feel like when outsourcing a task or project that you got exactly what you’ve requested but not what you actually wanted? You’re not alone. As software can be quite abstract we like to use design as an example as it’s more understandable when explaining. Let’s say you describe a designer exactly what you want, often in countries abroad it gets taken as an exact task to execute. And, well, you get exactly what you’ve requested. However, you’re not a designer! Ensure that it’s clearly specified and requested that the task is to be creative and create something based on the pointers, but that those are just pointers. The task is to be creative, to ask, to fail, to seek an edge or unknown. We’ve found that this is often enough to change the outcome to once desired outcome and not the requested once.
